Lima, Peru is incredible! 🇵🇪 Join us as we explore Peru’s capital over two fascinating days, discovering dramatic Pacific coastal cliffs, beautiful parks, modern neighborhoods, colonial architecture, historic churches, and some of Lima’s hidden gems.
Our journey begins in Miraflores, one of Lima’s most popular and upscale districts. We walk along the spectacular coastal cliffs through beautiful green parks, while the famous coastal fog creates a unique atmosphere above the Pacific Ocean.
Along the way, we visit Parque Chino and Parque del Amor, enjoy incredible ocean views, and discover Larcomar, the impressive shopping center built directly into the cliffs.
We then continue to Barranco, one of Lima’s most charming and artistic neighborhoods. After walking through its parks and along the cliffs, we make our way down toward the beach and enjoy the spectacular views of the city rising above the Pacific.
The following day, we head into Lima’s historic center. Here we discover the colonial heart of the city, including the Santo Domingo Convent, Plaza de Armas, Lima Cathedral, the historic crypts, and Basilica La Merced.
We also learn more about Lima’s fascinating colonial history and the connection to Francisco Pizarro, before ending our day at Plaza San Martín during sunset.
Lima honestly surprised us. After traveling through many different parts of Peru, we discovered a side of the country that felt completely different — modern, green, elegant, historic, and full of contrasts.
